Our Caribbean Stud Poker Experience

We sat down at Slots Oasis' Caribbean Stud Poker Table to play a few hands. The current progressive jackpot was at $15,432.90. We decided to wager $25 bets with betting $1 to the progressive each hand.

The first hand - I showed a 2 of spades, 2 of diamonds, K of hearts, 9 of spades, and 8 of diamonds. The dealer showing a 5 of clubs. I already have a pair of 2's so I am going to bet. (Remember, I already have $25 ante in, now I have $50 total after my bet.) The dealer show their hand and they have a Q of Clubs, J of diamonds, 9 of clubs, 5 of clubs, and a 3 of spades. I won because I had the pair of 2's and the dealer is only showing a Queen High. $25 up so far.

The second hand - we bet the same (I always bet the same, it's a habit). My hand showed k of hearts, 10 of diamonds, 5 of clubs, 4 of clubs, and a 2 of clubs. The dealer shows a J of diamonds. So far I have him with the King high card of mine, but not much else. I bet anyway. Dealer now shows a K of diamonds (shoot), Q of clubs, 4 of diamonds, 2 of hearts, and a J of diamonds. Well, I ended up winning. The dealer did not qualify to play the hand. (Remember, the dealer must have a pair or better, or a King and an Ace.

My third and final hand at Caribbean Stud Poker - Again, I bet the same $25. My had shows a Q of spades, 9 of hearts, 8 of diamonds, 7 of clubs, and a 3 of Clubs. Dealer is showing 7 of diamonds. I bet (of course) I have a Q High. Dealer shows A spades, K of diamonds, 8 of spades, 7 of diamonds, 4 of clubs. This hand I lost. Dealer has both a K and an A. Both of those beat my one Q.
